The Essential Monosaccharide Sugars

Every doctor was taught in medical school that there were certain nutrients in our diets that were essential (we cannot make them, so we must ingest them). This included:  

• Essential Proteins (Amino Acids)             
• Essential Vitamins & Minerals
• Essential Fats & Oils (Fatty Acids)

Now we know that there is a 4^th class of essential nutrients- the essential monosaccharide sugars.
