The Role of the Biological Sugars
|
|
Necessary Monosaccharide Sugars Only 2 of these essential sugars are in our diet.
We get Glucose and Galactose-- the other 6 must be manufactured from these, which can take from 9 to 36 enzymatic reactions. This requires a lot of energy!
If the carbohydrates in our diet is low, we use it for energy first and cell to cell communication second.
Doctors were taught that the “Glucose-Only” theory would make the 7 remaining sugars from Glucose. If that were totally true, we would be healthy on a “Twinkie and Coke diet”. The 8 monosaccharides that make up the glyconutrient complex balance and strengthen the immune system like no other product found anywhere in the world. With proper cell-to-cell communication, the immune system can be vigilant in its surveillance and elimination of disease, by eliminating viruses and bacteria which cause infections, and carcinogens which cause cancers.
We either get these sugars from our diets or our bodies must be able to manufacture these from absorbed precursors. Without these necessary monosaccharides in our diet, we cannot maintain the quality of life we want to enjoy and we may possibly die!
